Do you need a good recipe to take to a super bowl party? Or any kind of party for that matter. Here’s an easy, delicious dip recipe that everybody will love. It’s actually called “crack” dip and there’s a good reason for that. This will go fast, so if you are going to be hosting a lot of people, you might want to double the recipe.
You need 2 cups of shredded cooked chicken. You could buy a rotisserie chicken and use that if you want. There are endless ways to use a rotisserie chicken. Any time you have a recipe that calls for shredded chicken, you can definitely use it for that. They are not expensive at all and can be a real time saver. I often buy one and then figure out two or even three different dishes I can use it in. Of course, you can also just cook and shred chicken that you already have.
You’ll also need a couple of cooked, crumbled slices of bacon. How do you usually cook bacon? My favorite way by far is to cook it in the oven. I put it on a lightly sprayed cookie sheet and cook it on 400 for 10-15 minutes depending on how crunchy I want it to be. It’s so much less mess and it turns out perfectly cooked every time.

Now in a large bowl, combine an 8 oz block of cream cheese (softened), 1/2 c of your favorite barbecue sauce (I love Sweet Baby Ray’s sweet and spicy), 1 T brown sugar, 1/4 c sour cream, the juice of 1/2 a lime, and 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese.

Then spread this mixture into a baking dish and top with 2 slices of cooked, crumbled bacon and 2 sliced green onions.
Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes or until it looks bubbly. Serve with tortilla chips or Fritos. Or you can dip veggies in it and I’m sure that would be delicious too!
Combine all ingredients except bacon and onions. Place in baking dish. Top with bacon and onions. Bake at 350 until bubbly - 20-25 minutes.Ingredients
