Amazingly Flavorful Roast Beef Sliders

These amazingly flavorful roast beef sliders are a perfect party food or for dinner!

I am constantly reinventing the slider. There are just endless possibilities. I’ve made taco sliders, ham and cheese, Italian, turkey, barbecue, Asian, etc. However, these roast beef sliders just might be my favorite.

Caramelized onions are just one of my favorite things. I put them on pizza, burgers, or even add them to vegetables. But I primarily think about them with beef for some reason. So I took the roast beef and caramelized onion idea and just went from there.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 24 slider rolls (I used the Hawaiian slider rolls)
  • 1 lb deli roast beef
  • Some kind of steak seasoning (I used McCormick’s Grill Mates Montreal seasoning)
  • 3 large onions, caramelized
  • Chipotle Aoli (I used the Kraft brand)
  • Provolone cheese slices (could also use cheddar)
  • 2 T butter
  • 1 T Worcestershire sauce

The first thing you have to do is caramelize the onions. This takes some time, but I promise you it is worth every minute. Thinly slice about 3 medium to large onions. Add about 4 T butter to a skillet and turn the heat to medium. When the butter starts to melt, add the onions. Cook them on medium, stirring frequently for 3- 4 minutes. Then just reduce the heat to medium low and let them cook. Stir them every once in awhile. They need to cook for around 30 minutes or until they are dark and soft and yummy.

Now you are ready to assemble your sliders. Preheat the oven to 350. Put the rolls on a large baking sheet. Take the tops off and set them aside. They usually all stay together, which is good. Next, I sprinkled the bottoms of the rolls pretty liberally with the steak seasoning. Then just kind of pile the roast beef equally on all the rolls.

Next equally distribute the onions. Add cheese slices on top of the onions. Spread the chipotle aoli on the top portion of the rolls and then place them on top of all the toppings. Last but not least, melt 2 T butter in a small bowl, then stir in 1 T Worcestershire sauce and mix well. Brush this mixture on the top of the rolls.

Cover with foil and bake for about 25 minutes.

They are going to be cheesy and melty and so incredibly delicious. Enjoy!
